The book BRIDGES
Report on construction and architecture of some bridges in the Czech Republic
After more than forty years of designing bridge structures, Ing. Antonín Pechal, CSc. conceived the idea for recapitulation of the results of his work as well as the achievements of his team of designers. In 2009 he wrote and published the book called BRIDGES.
Concept of the book
The aim of the book is to introduce the reader to concrete examples of bridges designed by the author and his team. The book includes technical and architectonic solutions of the bridges as their historical, chronological and geographical classification along with the people participating in the construction and the experience gained from the implementation of the projects. The book is bilingual – in Czech and English and has 273 pages.
